The school venue has been transformed into a "Learning Walk", which takes assessors through our different levels of commissioning from individual to county-wide and regional (as the new gal I am finding learning the language of local authority fascinating).
In reality, it is a very impressive journey through all of the work that takes place across the peninsula, especially with more marginalised children such as Gypsies and Travellers, and children in care.
Tuesday Visit Devon Racial Equality Council as part of my induction. It works in schools and with young people in other settings.
We discuss ways of working together, especially on developing a robust route for reporting racist bullying, along with developing response and support systems. As Devon is such a huge rural county it means there is a lot of work to do.
