MONDAY - I am immensely irritated by the media frenzy over this "father at 13" issue, especially since the story has become even more sensationalist as two other young men claim that they too could be the father. Again, young people are getting a bashing and the story is being used as an excuse to slate the government's teenage pregnancy strategy.
I wonder if anyone has thought about what sex and relationships education either of these two young people may have had - or more likely, not had. Something that the teenage pregnancy unit fought to be made compulsory for a long time.
