
It has given me an insight into their lives and experiences, which has encouraged me to speak up about the issues and concerns that matter to us.
I'm motivated to raise awareness of the issues that adults tend to forget because I know what it's like to be ignored. During my childhood, I was put down and dismissed, which led to me having a lack of confidence and aspiration.
The Youth Parliament has given me opportunities I thought I would never have – being involved in a national debate in the House of Commons, sitting on a Question Time panel with Knowsley's key decision makers, raising issues and challenging those responsible for considering young people's views.
