
Young people get a raw deal out of politics, being overlooked and unrepresented. That's why the work of the UKYP is vital.
When I stood for election, I did not know quite what to expect. I learnt of the parliament and the upcoming elections through a school assembly, but I did not realise the valuable work that it is involved in and how it would change my life.
I now work with many different organisations and individuals to give young people a say in politics, from working with local councillors on the delivery of local youth services to bold national campaigns such as Votes at 16.
