
I wanted to know so that I could choose the right things to buy. Although I haven’t experienced any abuse for being a young mum, people have given me weird looks.
Some people judge young mums and think they’re all the same, but we can do just as good a job as older ones. My gran had her first child at 19 and they seem to forget they had babies at my age, too.
I don’t want to spend the rest of my life on benefits. I was at college doing an apprenticeship in childcare when I found out I was pregnant and it turned my life upside down. I needed cash more than college and was upset to leave.
