My Life: Joanna Elliott, 10, Battersea

I'd really like to be a policewoman. I'd do what every other policewoman does - catch criminals. I like watching police detectives and I think it's really nice to get people in jail and help people out.

When I first watched my favourite series, A Touch of Frost, I decided I wanted to be a policewoman. I thought it would be really cool to go chasing criminals. I like to be adventurous.

I go to school at Honeywell; my favourite teacher is Mrs Harvey in year 2. She's always kind and never gets too angry. I've learned a lot.

I like netball and I once played for the school. I play centre.

My favourite subject is literacy, because I like writing stories and poems. I once won a poem competition from Ottakar's bookshops: I won two poetry books and a certificate. We were doing an anti-bullying week at school and had to write poems about it. My teacher really liked mine, so she sent it off.
