Before I got academic coaching, school life for me was not great. I was predicted just two GCSEs and to be honest my overall attitude towards school was awful - I was disrespectful to the teachers, I wasn't behaving very well and I didn't see the point in learning.

However, during Year 11 I was assigned an academic coach through Aces, aprogramme with West Bromwich Albion FC.

My whole attitude changed and my future began to look bright. I receivedregular help with improving my coursework and revising for my exams.Gradually, all the teachers began to notice a change in me.

After achieving 10 A* to C grades I went on to the school's sixth-formwhere I am currently studying A-levels in physical education, sociologyand law. In addition I have also been made head girl; a massiveachievement that I am very proud of. After sixth-form I plan to pursueeither a sports degree or enter the police force. I haven't decided yetbut at least Aces have given me the choice.
