My Life: Isabella Bremmers-Carrasco, 10, London

My school, Sir John Cass Foundation Primary School in Aldgate, is next to where one of the bombs went off last Thursday. The bomb alarm went off and we went to the basement for 40 minutes.

We didn't know if it was real and were joking about it at first. We got the all-clear but then the alarm went off again. The headteacher said we were going to evacuate. We heard the sirens and saw fire engines, police cars and ambulances. It was scary. We walked to another school in Tower Hamlets. It was a long way because we had to go round the gherkin building.

About an hour after we got there our headteacher told us bombs had gone off on a bus and some trains and people had been killed. One of the boys in our class has a sister who drives a bus and he got scared. It was shocking because our school is so close. If you look carefully on the TV pictures you can see the sign. I don't know why they did this. I always used to be scared about travelling by train but I could do it. After this I can't.
