MY LIFE: Hazel Morey, 10, Kings Cross, London

1 min read
I have always lived in Kings Cross. Recently Kings Cross has become the loudest place in London.

I live opposite one of the many hotels here. It has a loud air vent which keeps me awake at night along with the sirens of police cars, fire engines and ambulances. The surrounding buildings block out any sunlight into my room. At night I leave my curtains open to see moonlight, but it's very rare even to get a glimpse of the moon.

Kings Cross has become a giant construction site for the development of the new railway station for the Eurostar and the traffic is worse than ever. It is almost impossible to cross the road. People seem even more angry than usual. I think it is getting worse even though people promise it will be better one day.
