
Firstly I was nominated by my school to attend the member of the youth parliament (MYP) training day for the nominees across the borough. At the end of the day 13 candidates were shortlisted to run for election and I was one of them.
Suddenly I had a million things to do that would enable me to run an election campaign in the Pinner cluster schools. It was finally voting day. I was nervous and excited and hoped I'd done enough to influence the youth of Harrow. At the end of the week I went to the council chambers to hear the results.
