Free Sport For All has been launched by the charity Help a London Child to help disabled young people take part in regular sporting activities.
London will be divided into five areas, with each area receiving a grant of £20,000. Sporting bodies Pro-Actives and the London Sports Forum for Disabled People will help oversee delivery of the projects.
Tamsyn Clark, head of Help a London Child, said, "We're really pleased to be working in partnership with sports bodies to create a sustainable sports programme that will help so many of London's children and teenagers enjoy sports for free."
It is hoped up to 10,000 children will benefit from the scheme in the first year alone.
