Letters: SPOTLIGHT ON THE CARE SYSTEM

1 min read Letters
We strongly welcome the recognition that the issues surrounding Britain's care system are receiving. This was particularly highlighted in Channel 4's recent Britain's Forgotten Children season, which followed on from the recent Children, Schools and Families Select Committee report on looked-after children.

Both Channel 4 and the select committee have recognised that making childhood better for looked-after children is about helping them develop strong relationships, and that far more needs to be done to support this.

An area of particular concern is the state's role as corporate parent in supporting some of the most marginalised looked-after children. We hope that this interest actually leads to real change and improvement of our care system.
