Letters: IMPROVEMENTS AT THE TRUST

The review of Buckinghamshire Children and Young People's Trust (CYP Now, 4-10 June) demonstrated the good practice of one children's trust which decided to subject its programme for improving services to children and young people to external evaluation. In your article, you chose to focus on areas which were identified for further development, to the exclusion of the positive aspects of our findings.

The review also found that the local delivery strategy has led to improved communication between professionals, improved assessment and has resulted in demonstrable improvements in support to children and families.

GOLDEN OLYMPIC OPPORTUNITY

At a group session with young people aged 12 to 19 at Downside Fisher Youth Club in Bermondsey, my company Forster found that around half didn't know where in London the Olympics were being hosted.

These are young people who practise sport on a regular basis and, when they found out that the Olympics were going to be on their doorstep, several wanted to attend.
