The children's commissioner uncovered a number of serious concerns at Yarl's Wood during a visit there late last year.
We were concerned to see details of an incident regarding sexually harmful behaviour. We referred this to the appropriate authorities and welcome this resulting report.
We hope the recommendations will be acted upon as soon as possible so children in Yarl's Wood are appropriately safeguarded.

The British Crime Survey reveals the significant extent to which young people are vulnerable to crime and aggressive behaviour.
Exploding the unfair stereotype of a generation of thugs and yobs, the survey demonstrates that 10- to 15-year-olds are actually four times more likely than adults to be a victim of personal crimes.
