I agree with Kids' City that the extended schools route seems lengthyand often bureaucratic with a lot of red tape.
If schools are to meet Government targets by 2010 a faster route needsto be established. I also feel, as a provider, that wraparound childcareis complex and time-consuming.
I cannot see how schools can be in a practical position to provide ahigh-quality service while maintaining all the other aspects of runninga school. It is therefore down to providers, such as ourselves, toensure we have the ability to offer communities what they want.
However, unlike Kids' City, Oscahs is a privately run business and, because of this, we constantly struggle to remain sustainable whileproviding a worthwhile, affordable service.
