If we had been at the meeting, we would have replied by quoting what thefirst children's ombudsman for Norway said at the second internationalconference on children's ombudswork: "A child as young as five or six isquite capable of stating an opinion or answering questions. Provided theperson asking them does so in a language and vocabulary appropriate totheir age."
It is clear that the manager needs to heed this advice. In our opinion,he is too big for his boots and thinks he knows all the answers.
Despite the training and experience we have, we are all learningsomething new every day.
