Letter: Clarification over cannabis

I would like to bring to your attention our concerns regarding the reporting of our press release on the reclassification of cannabis in the 25-31st January issue of Children Now.

The news item states that "According to YoungMinds, users are at leasttwice as likely to develop a psychosis". This sentence misses two vitalcomponents. It is heavy and regular use that makes young people twice aslikely to develop a psychosis. Plus, only a relatively small percentageof young people are at risk of developing psychosis regardless ofwhether they use cannabis or not.
