Out of all the young people invited to the meeting I was the only one to turn up. The councillors asked me to be a youth representative in future committee meetings. I agreed as I want to get involved with anything that helps the community.
I started a youth forum by going door-to-door and asking other young people to get involved. I wrote letters to everyone, talked to young people in the street and asked my friends to get involved. I got about 20 people involved.
My friends and I were eventually asked to bid for funding for youth provision. I put on a presentation and we were given money to open up Lee Green Youth Club.
