Learning first-hand about the history of apartheid has captured the imagination of children and teachers at Dog Kennel Hill Primary School in South London, which is twinned with Xolani school in the Guguletu township in Cape Town.
The project was launched in October 2003 by sponsor Old Mutual Bank with an address by South Africa's former minister of education, Professor Kader Asmal, to children and teachers from London, and teachers from Cape Town.
