University students have a reputation for spending their days eating Pot Noodles and watching TV. But London university students volunteering as tutors with charity CSV show just how wrong this stereotype can be.
CSV has teamed up with Shine, a charity providing support and help in education, to provide mentors in seven primary schools in deprived areas of Greenwich, Hackney, Haringey and Southwark. Currently 120 pupils aged eight to 11 receive the support of a personal tutor.
