Information, Advice and Guidance: Connexions brand to be used as quality mark for authorities

1 min read

DfES officials are investigating how to develop the purple and orange Connexions logo into a quality mark for information, advice and guidance services and targeted support.

From April 2008, the Government plans to provide Connexions grants to local authorities on condition that they use the money to deliver services in adherence with the quality standards being developed.

Department officials are looking into the feasibility of setting up a monitoring system through regional government offices to judge how well prepared local authorities are. Authorities that meet the criteria would be allowed to use the Connexions brand.

The move is welcomed by the National Association of Connexions Partners as a government endorsement of the brand.
