Connexions Moving Towards Children's Trusts, published by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) last week, says children's trusts need more guidance on issues including the transfer of staff, the ring-fencing of funding for Connexions services and the use of the Connexions brand.
Further guidance is also required on the role of schools in delivering advice and guidance.
The report, produced by research company Ecotec, makes seven recommendations for Connexions partnerships as they move towards local authority-commissioned services over the next two years.
The report was based on studies of 12 Connexions partnerships developing approaches to integrating services within children's trusts arrangements.
