Project: Who's to Blame, Portslade Youth Forum Mission: To address the causes of antisocial behaviour Funding: 3,300 through the Youth Opportunity Fund
When a group of 38 young people from the Portslade Youth Forum in Brighton set out to discover the cause of antisocial behaviour in the area, they kept asking themselves who was to blame. The question became the title of a short film that resulted from the work.
The group of 11- to 16-year-olds set out to create the film to show their age group in a positive light. They felt young people are often seen as the cause of problems, but in reality everybody contributes to antisocial behaviour.
