Project Notes: PEPYS Youth Forum

1 min read

Goals: The main aim is to reduce antisocial behaviour, criminality and victimisation, and promote good citizenship among young people throughout Essex. The forum aims to give feedback on how to achieve this goal

Funding: Funding comes from Essex Police with the support of Essex Police Authority

"I thought it would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and my mum agreed," says Dawn Kelly, 15, from Chelmsford, Essex. "I saw that I can make a difference, not just for me but my friends and other young people in Essex."

The Youth Forum, which comprises about 60 young people from across Essex, is run by Essex Police as part of its Proactive Essex Police Youth Strategy, known as PEPYS.
