The authority launched all 23 on the same day and at the same time - 2.30pm on 23 March.
There was method behind the madness, says Meredith Teasdale, the county's head of children's centres and childcare.
The idea came from lead member for children's services Patricia Bradwell.
"She felt that rather than having individual celebrations we should do something big to celebrate the hard work of everyone involved," explains Teasdale.
A small steering group began planning the big bash.
Teasdale admits some ambitious ideas were scaled back as the event took shape.
Organisers were keen to use the technology to link up centres across the rural county but the feasibility of involving all had to be considered.
