In Practice: Cash in hand - The Paul Hamlyn Foundation

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation's education and learning open grants scheme is seeking innovative projects around supplementary schooling, school exclusion and truancy.

Local authorities may be eligible to apply. The foundation will alsoconsider applications from individual pre-schools, schools,out-of-school clubs and supplementary schools if they show benefits forthe wider community and include partnership working. There is no minimumor maximum grant size but the foundation is unlikely to fund 100 percent of costs. The average grant in 2005/06 was 19,000. Fundingpriorities include inter-generational projects bringing children andparents together.
