The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund

The Baily Thomas Charitable Fund supports work with children and adults affected by severe learning difficulties and autism. It does not fund work around mental illness or dyslexia. Charities, schools and parent teacher associations are eligible to apply for grants over £250. Examples of work in the fund's remit include play and play therapy schemes, support for families, such as respite care, building work or renovation in schools, and swimming and hydrotherapy pools. Applications are considered twice a year. The next deadline is 1 May and a trustee meeting will be held in June. Small grants of less than £4,000 are dealt with via a separate procedure.
