Young Roots is a Heritage Lottery Fund programme, which offers grants of £3,000 to £25,000 to projects that enable young people aged 13 to 25 to learn about their own and other people's heritage.
Schemes must be delivered in partnerships featuring at least one youth group and one heritage organisation such as a local wildlife trust, local authority parks service or museum. Projects led by schools can apply as long as they take place outside school hours and benefit the wider community. Eligible activities might include a young archaeology club, photographing landmarks for an exhibition, or an oral history project. There are no set deadlines for applications.
