The Young Roots co-ordinators are available to help projects add the all-important heritage aspect to their work, and can provide advice and guidance to groups wanting to apply for funds. Young Roots is open to creative and imaginative ideas about how young people can contribute and learn about issues related to history, culture and identity. A huge variety of subject areas can be approached, providing they link in with heritage at some level. One project created a timeline based on the local cathedral, another made information films and music about their local canal's history, while a third looked at how young people's leisure facilities and hobbies have changed over the years.
