Schools can use their delegated budgets to support or subsidise extendedactivities that bring an educational benefit to children. Funding isalso available directly to schools through the School Standards Grant tosupport the full range of extended activities.
Until 2008, 500m is available through the Government'ssports-related strategy for schools.
Also speak to your local authority about how you can tap into otherfunding sources like the Children's Fund, the European Social Fund, orthe Learning and Skills Council. And as part of children's trustsarrangements, local authorities can help schools to link with fundingstreams of other trust partners such as primary care trusts.
You may also be within a priority area for neighbourhood regeneration orthe new Respect zones that have funding for parenting support.
