2006/7 Target set by DCSF 21% Brent's achievement 20%

2007/8 Target set by DCSF 27% Brent's achievement 36%

2008/9 Target set by DCSF 31% Brent's achievement 53%

Achieving one A* to G

2006/7 Target set by DCSF 54% Brent's achievement 31%

2007/8 Target set by DCSF 68% Brent's achievement 55%

2008/9 Target set by DCSF 80% Brent's achievement 75%

Brent council has been making a concerted effort to drive up the educational outcomes for its looked-after children.

This year the London borough has surpassed Local Area Agreement targets in this area.

A provisional report for the academic year ending July 2009 also shows that the number of pupils getting five or more GCSEs at A* and C has more than doubled from the previous year.
