Performance Percentage of looked-after children who achieved five A*-C grades at GCSE
The percentage of looked-after children who achieve five A* to Cs at GCSE after being placed through the independent fostering agency Foster Care Associates (FCA) has increased significantly in recent years.
Almost one in five (18.3 per cent) students were awarded five A* to C grades in 2009. In addition, nearly nine out of 10 children (88.1 per cent) achieved at least one A* to G in the same year. The results place the agency above the national average of 14.8 per cent of pupils achieving five A* to C grades at GCSE.
