HERITAGE: Woodcraft Folk gets grant for archiving

1 min read

The grant will fund an eight-month project worker to steer the Opening up the Archives project. The grant was made to the Woodcraft Folk on 28 November and the initiative is now getting up and running, with recruitment for the project worker under way.

The project will have three aims: to make sure all historically important material owned by the Woodcraft Folk is properly preserved; to digitise suitable material and make it available on the internet; and to make the material available in the form of educational packs.

Digitisation will include around 200 photographs, 8,000 pages of text and 50 artefacts such as banners.
