Help From ... The International Deaf Children's Society

The International Deaf Children's Society, launched in 2002 by the National Deaf Children's Society, has launched a web site designed to allow professionals to exchange information and ideas, and deaf children to learn about the experiences of others in a similar position to themselves.

The site features a Schools' Network section, which allows schools with deaf pupils to link up with schools in other countries. Although the site only launched two weeks ago, schools in Australia and Pakistan have already signed up.

In the Professionals at Work section, teachers and other workers can talk about projects that they are involved with.

There is a resource library, and the Real Lives section includes a "Day in the Life" diary by 11-year-old May, the only deaf child in Thailand to have passed the British Pony Club D test.
