Help from ... Chip+

Children in the Highlands Information Point+ offers information, advice and support to families that have a child with a disability.

The charity's advice covers a range of disabilities, syndromes andchronic illnesses. It explains what support is available to families andhow to make use of it. It also produces parent information packs,available in English, Gaelic and Braille. In addition, CHIP+ providesinformation and advice to children's professionals.

Highland Council and NHS Highland provide the funding for thecharity.

It also maintains a library of books and videos on a wide range ofchildren's issues. Library loans of up to a month are available topeople based in the Highlands.
