Help from: Fragile X

Fragile X is the most common cause of inherited learning disability. It affects girls and boys and shows itself in a wide range of difficulties with learning and behaviour.

Set up by parents of fragile X children in 1990, the Fragile X Society provides information and support to professionals, students and families through its national information and enquiry service. This includes books, videos, newsletters and conferences.

Fragile X information packs are sent free to enquirers. The society may also be able to provide speakers for in-service training.

It also provides telephone support for fragile X families through a network of family link members.

It arranges for fragile X families to take part in research and publishes the results of these studies.
