The paper proposes NHS Life Checks, mooted in Youth Matters as MOTs for young people, which will be aimed at young children and older people, but will then be rolled out to other groups. Paula Lavis, policy and knowledge manager at YoungMinds, called for emotional health to be included.
The paper also has implications for youth offending teams. "We want to make community health services accessible to young offenders," said a Department of Health spokeswoman. "This could mean health services are grouped together or provided as part of young offenders' probation services or where young offenders go to receive their community supervision."
