The Association of Children's Hospices called for an immediate injectionof ringfenced cash to replace lost lottery money and long-term statutoryfunding.
Cuts to services for terminally ill children include 25 redundancies atEast Anglia's Children's Hospices and 12 beds lost across AcornsChildren's Hospice Trust.
Barbara Gelb, the association's chief executive, said: "There was aperception that he was inclined towards our requests. He said 'the caseis made' and now it was just a matter of finding the money."
