44 conceptions per 1,000 girls aged 15-17 in 1999-2001 (44 in England)

Kevin McKeown, director of public health and partnerships at Wyre Primary Care Trust, said: "The dental health figures for Wyre are disappointing.

The primary care trust is producing a strategy on nutrition and health including dental health issues."
