The conception rate in the London Borough of Redbridge has risen by morethan a quarter since the figures for the teenage pregnancy strategy werefirst collected, an increase of 28 per cent. This is the largest riseamong local authorities in England between 1998 and 2005. This riserepresents 55 more girls conceiving. In 1998, 109 girls fell pregnantbut in 2005 this number rose to 164.
