The conception rate in North Tyneside has fallen by 12.4 per cent sincefigures for the teenage pregnancy strategy were first collected. Thisrepresents a fall from 204 conceptions in 1998 to 187 in 2004, a drop of17. As well as contraception services, the multi-disciplinary team,which includes medical and youth work staff, provide support,information and outreach with local schools.
