Teenage conceptions have decreased in Milton Keynes in the past few years.
In 1999, there were 56.8 conceptions per 1,000 15- to 17-year-olds and 9.8 for 13- to 15-year-olds, both higher than the national average. In 2001, the Milton Keynes figures were much nearer to the national statistics and, in the case of the 13- to 15-year-olds, the conception rate was actually lower.
