The conception rate in Hartlepool has risen by 3.1 per cent since thefigures for the strategy were first collected in 1998. Hartlepool'slocal strategy includes delivering sex and relationships education inall of its six secondary schools and a condom distribution schemeincluding free distribution through pharmacies.
