In January 2003, a joint project between Ceredigion and Mid Wales NHS Trust and SUDDS, known as the C Card Scheme (Condom Card), was introduced across Ceredigion. This was additional to the sexual health services already offered. The scheme is operated through specially trained community and youth workers.
The aim is to introduce young people to health services and give condom providers the opportunity to signpost other health services to young people when appropriate.
