The teenage pregnancy rate in Bristol North, and the city as a whole, remains significantly higher than the rate for England and Wales. This in turn has associations with low birthweight and higher infant mortality rates, although the city's record on these counts is close to the national average. The number of immunisations against MMR and diptheria is slightly below the national average.
