The centre will open in July and was jointly commissioned by Brighton &Hove City Council and South Downs Health NHS Trust.
Originally the centre planned to only offer health services, after theNHS trust decided to relocate its existing health centre for disabledchildren. But the council decided to use the centre as an opportunity torelocate its children's disability service on the same site.
David Hawker, the council's director of children's services, said thecentre was the culmination of a seven-year commitment to providedisabled children with services under the same roof.
