Swindon: 44.2 conceptions per 1,000 girls aged 15 to 17 in 2005 (41.1 in England)
Since 1998, the teenage conception rate in Barnsley has decreased by 11.4 per cent, compared to a fall of 11.8 per cent across England. In Lewisham there has been a fall of 12.4 per cent in the number of teenage girls becoming pregnant, while in Swindon the rate has gone down by 17.3 per cent.
