When it comes to steering young people on to the straight and narrow, using puppets is not necessarily the first thing that springs to mind. However, Get Your Head Round It is a puppet-based project that travels around young offender institutions, hostels and schools to show young people how they can lead a better life.
The programme revolves around key issues such as drug misuse, citizenship and safe sex with a host of life-size characters. With the help of an edgy soundtrack and current issues such as antisocial behaviour, the programme involves short films using the puppets to show to the young people.
