The 1.3m investment package is the largest Futurebuilders has awarded and will be used by the charity to expand its CareZone web site for young people in care.
Susanna Cheal, chief executive of The Who Cares? Trust, said: "We will use the funding to enhance our technology and to look at replicating our secure communication system for different groups of young people."
Futurebuilders offers two types of funding across five strands. The first is an investment package such as that offered to the Who Cares? Trust that combines a loan, a grant and an overdraft facility. The second is a grant of up to 15,000 to help projects develop business plans.
