Funding: Futurebuilders fund helps youth projects

1 min read

The Croxteth Community Trust in Liverpool secured the money, 700,000 of which is a loan, as part of the second round of the Home Office's 125m investment fund.

The new centre will initially cater for 120 young people and include a training restaurant, design and textile workshop, an IT suite and a beauty salon.

Wings South West is another youth project to have benefited from the latest round of Futurebuilders funding. The Devon-based project has been offered 94,000 for its Transition Project, which helps young people not in education, work or training to develop through activities such as conservation. It plans to set up a heritage and training centre.
